back over the past 100 years of histo-

The series will begin on Thursday,
22. Anita Norich, professor and
author who specializes in Yiddish lan-
guage and literature, will speak on
"Jewish Culture in America."
The series will continue on
Thursday, May 6, with Todd
Endelman, historian, author and the
University of Michigan's William
Haber Professor of Modern Jewish
History. Endelman's lecture is titled
"The Changing Agendas of American
Jewry: From Making Jews American
to Making Jews Jewish."
Concluding the series on Thursday,
June 3, Regina Morantz-Sanchez will
discuss "Becoming Modern: American
Jewish Women in the 20th Century."
Morantz-Sanchez is a professor in the
Univserity of Michigan's history
department, specializing in women's
history and the social history of medi-
cine.
All lectures are free and will take
place at 7:30 p.m. in the Jimmy
Prentis Morris Building of the Jewish
Community Center of Metropolitan
Detroit.
This program is supported by the
Boaz Siegel Culture Fund and the
Institute for Retired Professionals.
