Rabbi Leads
Lunch, Learn

Rabbi Karmi Gross, principal of Akiva
Hebrew Day School in Lathrup Village,
will present a program of twice-month-
ly lunchtime learning sessions for adults
at two locations in the community
starting in November. Each month will
feature a new topic related to the Torah
readings of that month.
The November 45-minute class
4 focuses on "Finding G-D In Today's
World: Lessons Learned from
Avraham."
The first Thursday of every month,
starting Nov. 5, at noon, the program
will take place in the cafeteria of the
Kahn JCC in West Bloomfield. Lunch
may be purchased at the JCC cafete-
ria. For information on the program,
call Dan Mendelson, (248) 360-9661.
On the third Thursday of every
month, starting Nov. 19, at noon, the
program will take place at DMC/Sinai
Hospital. A bag lunch may be brought
to the program. For class location, call
Dr. Bernie Gonik at Sinai Hospital,

There is no charge for these classes
and they are open to the community.

Young musicians in grades five
through 12 are invited to join Temple
Beth El's new student ensembles.
Newly formed are the TBE Concert
Band, the TBE String Ensemble and
the TBE Klezkids, a klezmer group.

minimum of one year's experience and
be studying with an instrumental
teacher. The groups will meet on
