SHERMAN GOLDMAN, 90, of
Southfield, died Oct. 22 Mr. Gold-
man was in motor repair for Westing-
house Electric. He is survived by his
wife, Clara Goldman; daughters and
sons-in-law, Janet Brody and Richard
Gautreau of Southfield, Joanne and
Dan Bittner of Troy; son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Edward and Wendy Gold-
man of Southfield; grandchildren,
Michael and Erin Brody, Marla Brody,
Adam Smargon, Stephanie Smargon,
Robert Bittner, Jeffrey Bittner, Debo-
rah Goldman, Fredrick Goldman;
step-grandchildren, Melissa and Scott
Selzer, Debbie Cohn, Mari and Neal
Plotnik, Jamie Blechman, John Blech-
man; one great-grandchild; brothers
and sister-in-law, Hazen Goldman of
Berkley, Daniel and Rae Goldman of
Ariz.; sister and brother-in-law, Ethel
and Bert Thieda of Calif, and nieces
and nephews. Mr. Goldman was the
beloved husband of the late Helen
Goldman and the dear brother of the
late Eva DeBoskey.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.
Contributions may be directed to a
charity of one's choice. Arrangements

JUDITH ANN GOTTLIEB, 52, of
Birmingham, died Oct. 16. Ms. Got-
tlieb was a teacher for Warren Consoli-
dated Schools who
taught the visually
impaired for twenty-
five years and 'the
learning disabled for
three years.
She is survived by
her sister, Sandra
Schram of Farming-
ton Hills; nieces and
nephews, Marla Schram-Wolfe and
David Wolfe, Darcy Schram, Anthony
Schram and Nicolas Schram. Ms. Got-
tlieb was the beloved daughter of the
ate Merlin and the late Nettie Got-
tlieb and the dear sister-in-law of the
late Calvin Schram.
Interment at Adat Shalom Memori-
al Park. Contributions may be directed
to the Lions Club, Michigan Humane
Society and Adat Shalom Synagogue.

FANNIE GURAN, 96, of Oak Park,

l ied Oct. 9. Mrs. Guran was a mem-

ber of Hadassah. She is survived by her
daughters and sons-in-law, May Blech-

grandchildren, Jim Blecliman, Dan
Blechman and Elise Mallove, Susan

ALDEN STEWART HALPERT, 55,
of Royal Oak, died Oct. 20. Mr.
Halpert was a CPA at Halpert & Kahn
on Civic Center Drive in Southfield.
He is survived by his fiancee, Adele
Meyer, son, Eric Halpert; daughter,
Melissa "Missy" Halpert of Hamtram-
ck; grandchildren, Drew and Dalin
Halpert; sisters and brother-in-law,
Nanette and Thomas Peters of Char-
lotte, N.C., Benay Bowles of Arcadia,
Calif.; nieces and nephews. Interment
at Jewish Riverside in Kalamazoo.

NAOMI VALERLIE HILSEN, 75, of
Bloomfield Hills, died Oct. 17.
She is survived by her son, Gary B.
Hilsen of Bloomfield Hills; daughter,
Arden Lough of Commerce Twp.;
brother, Gordon Lewis of Las Vegas,
Nev.; cousin, Eileen (Abe) Glazer. She
was the beloved mother of the late,
Dana Hilsen, daughter of the late,
Daniel and Helen Lewis. Services will
be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the
Clover Hill Park Cemetery Chapel in
Birmingham followed by interment in
the cemetery.
