MARIAN JANNETT, 79, of Boca
Raton, Fla., died Oct. 17. Before retir-
ing to Florida, Mts. Jannett was the
co-founder and executive of a retail-
furniture company in the Detroit area.
She was an active member of many
charities and organizations both in
Michigan and in Florida.
Mrs. Jannett is survived by her lov-
ing husband of 62 years, Samuel;
daughter, Resa of Southfield; son and
daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Valerie
Jannett of Bloomfield Hills; sister and
brother-in-law, Eleanor and Stanley
Nelson of West Hempsted, N.Y.; and
three grandchildren. Mrs. Jannett was
the loving mother of the late Ira Jan-
nett, of Parkland, Fla.
Services were held at Levitt-Wein-
stein memorial chapel in Boca Raton
and interment at Eternal Light Memo-
rial Gardens. Contributions may be
made to a charity of one's choice.
Lax, Chaim (Gali) Lax, Chaya
(Amatzia) Yechielli; and 28 grandchil- or
dren, all of Israel. Mr. Lax was the son
of former Detroiters, the late Fanny
and Sigmond Lax.
LAWRENCE MACLEAN, 54, of
Jackson, Mich., died Oct. 13. He is
survived by his mother, Cecile Smith

Florida, Richard and Kimberly

Cheri Maclean of West Bloomfield; sis-

Kaner of Oak Park. Mr. Maclean was
