DOUDOUN ALALOUF, 91, of Oak
Park, died Oct. 11. Mrs. Alalouf was a
member of Lahsa Organization and the
Sephardic Organization of Greater
Detroit.
She is survived by her son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Benjamin and Martha Alalouf
of Bloomfield Hills; granddaughter, Amy
Alalouf; brother and sister-in-law, Moni .
and Enza Alalouf of New York; niece and
nephew, Esther Kamhi and Albert
Kamhi. Mrs. Alalouf was the beloved
wife of the late Alfred Alalouf; the loving
,mother of the late Morris Alalouf.
Interment in New York. Contribu-

DR. KARL BAUER, 83, of Vienna Aus-
tria, died Sept. 15. Dr. Bauer was an
American citizen and served in the
American Army Intelligence Corps from
1942-1955. He had a law degree from
the University of Vienna.
He is survived by his sister and broth-
er-in-law, Marianne and Norbert Rein-
stein of Oak Park; niece and nephew,
Mark Reinsrein, Gladys-Rockind; great-
nieces and great-nephews. Contributions

ton Hills, died Oct. 9.
Mrs. Fiddleman is survived by her

MARION GALIN, 97, of San Diego,
formerly of Detroit, died Oct. 11. Mrs.
Galin was a member of Adat Shalom
Synagogue, a 25 year volunteer at Chil-
dren's Hospital, member of the Zedakah
Club, volunteer with Service With Love,
a member of the Sinai Hospital Auxil-
iary, a life member of the Auxiliary at
Children's Hospital and a volunteer at
Penrickton Nursery for the Blind.
She is survived by her daughters and
son-in-law, Shirley and Sidney Locke of
San Diego, Jocelyn Canvasser of West
Bloomfield; grandchildren, Dr. Bruce
Locke and Nancy Sway, Barbara and
Milford Nemer, Dr. Phillip and Denise

BERDYE GLASS, former Detroiter of
Los Angeles, died Sept. 20.
She is survived by her children, Gerry
(Allen) Fidler, Marsha Levine, Herbert

grandchild.

CAROL GOLDEN, 61, of Encino,
Calif., formerly of Detroit, died Sept. 29.
Ms. Golden was a secretary for an archi-
tectural firm in California.
She is survived by her mother, Lenore
Golden of Southfield; brother and sister-
in-law, Joel and Linda Golden of Bloom-
field Hills; niece and nephew, Courtney
and Stewart Golden. Ms. Golden was
the loving daughter of the late Barney L.
Golden.

water, Fla., died Oct. 4.

Leslie and Gloria Gutter of Gahanna,
Ohio, Henry and Sue Gutter of Wilm-

five great-grandchildren. She was the sis-

ALICE HOFFMAN, 88, of West
Bloomfield, died Oct. 11.
Mrs. Hoffman is survived by her sons
and daughter-in-law, Merle Hoffman of
Virginia, Gerald and Sue Hoffman of
Farmington Hills; grandchildren, Dana
and Michael. She was the beloved wife of
the late Jack Hoffman. Interment at

BESSIE HELEN JAFFE, 97, former
Detroiter of Bay City, died Sept. 24. She
attended Farragut School and Eastern
High School in Bay City. She and her
husband Morris cofounded Valley Oxy-
gen Co. She was a member of Temple
Israel and its sisterhood, Hadassah,
American Red Cross, American Contract
Bridge League and the Bay Medical Cen-
ter Auxiliary. She was a Bay Medical
Center and Veterans Administration
Hospital volunteer.
She is survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law, Dr. Martin and Ruth
Jaffe of Bay City, Mark and Judy Jaffe of
Essexville; daughter-in-law, Lillian Jaffe
