ANNA GOLDBERG, 89, of Livo-
nia, died Sept. 12. For 20 years,
Mrs. Goldberg was a clerk typist at
the Naval Aviation Supply Depot.
She was a member of the NARFE
(National Association of Retired
Federal Employees) and the Livonia
Senior Citizens.
Mrs. Goldberg is survived by her
daughter and son-in-law, Maxine
and Seymour LeVine; daughter-in-
law, Susan Goldberg; grandchildren,
an and Cynthia LeVine, Monica
LeVine, Robin and John Motisi,
Peter LeVine, Eric Goldberg, Julia
Goldberg, David Goldberg; great-
grandchildren, Anthony and Talia
Motisi. She was the beloved wife of
the late Israel Goldberg; the loving
mother of the late Bertram Gold-
berg.
Interment at Roosevelt Memorial
Park in Philadelphia. Contributions
may be made to the International
Myeloma Foundation, Dr. Bertram
Goldberg Research Fund, Los Ange-
les, CA. Arrangements by Ira Kauf-

CELIA GOUDSMIT, 81, of Oak
Park, died Sept. 11.
She is survived by daughters and
sons-in-law, Rhoda Goudsmit of
Southfield, Barbara and Philip Stein-
berg of Fair Lawn, N.J., Roberta and
Clayton Pioch of Southfield; broth-
ers and sisters-in-law, Fred and
Sylvia Klein, Meyer and Jean Klein,
Ralph and Lee Klein; grandchildren,
Robyn (Gerald) Zimmerman, Debo-
h Steinberg and Fiancee Kevin
Watts, Neil Pioch'and Eric Pioch.
She was the beloved wife of the late,
Nemo Goudsmit.
Services and interment at Mach-
pelah Cemetery Chapel. Contribu-

Heart Association, 16310 W. 12
Mile, Southfield, MI 48076, or to a

KATHERYN GUSSIN, 84, of
Farmington Hills, died Sept. 13.
Mrs. Gussin attended college
after her husband died and was a
1974 political science graduate of
akland University. She was a past
treasurer of Brandeis, a member
of the National Council of Jewish
Women, Women's American
ORT and a life member of.Hadas-
sah.
Mrs. Gussin is survived by her
daughter, Joan Gussin; many loving



nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-
nephews and friends. She was the
beloved wife of the late Carl
Gussin. Interment at Clover Hill
Park Cemetery. Contributions may
be made to the Carl Gussin Memor-
ial Fund, University of Michigan
Law School, Office of Development
and Alumni Relations, 721 South

BURTON C. HARTMAN, 75, of
Southfield, died Sept. 2. Mr.
Hartman was a financial planner,
photographer and had been an
Army medic in Europe during
World War II.
He is survived by his daughters
and sons-in-law, Andrea Hartman
and Thomas Serowik of Detroit,
Sarah Hartman-Silow and Dr.
Charles Silow of Huntington
Woods; beloved granddaughter,
Shoshana Miriam Silow; sister and
brother-in-law, Audrey and Cy Feld-
man of West Bloomfield; brother-in-
law, Marvin Siegel of Lathrup Vil-
lage. He was the brother of the late
Pat Siegel. Services and interment at
the Clover Hill Park Chapel. Contri-

SANDRA HELENE KANAT, 57,
of Oak Park, died Sept. 10. Ms.
Kanat was a retired nurse at Harper
Hospital. She was a member of
B'nai B'rith, Women's American
ORT, Temple Shir Shalom and a
volunteer with the Humane
Society.
Ms. Kanat is survived by her son' ,
Barry Fishman of Southfield; daugh-
ters and son-in-law, Tammy and
Mark Richards of Ferndale, Loree
Fishman of South Carolina; brothers
and sister-in-law, Dennis Bogorad of
Los Angeles, Joel and Kay Bogorad
of Novi; stepdaughter, Rose A.
Bogorad; former husband, Stuart
Fishman. She was the beloved
daughter of the late Irving and the
late Harriet Bogorad.
Interment at Adat Shalom Memo-
rial Park. Contributions may be
made to Temple Shir Shalom, Helen
