FERN R. ADELSTEIN, 54, of
Southfield, died Sept. 10. For 33
years, Ms. Adelstein was an Oak
Park elementary teacher. She
received her master's in education
from Wayne State University. She
was a member of Women's American
ORT, B'nai B'rith and Hadassah.
Ms. Adelstein is survived by her
son, David Alan Adelstein of South-
field; brother and sister-in-law,
Howard and Beverly Stone of West
Bloomfield; nieces and nephews,
Dana and Jonathan Abrahams, Lisa
Stone and her fiance, Jonah Sigel;
great-niece, Lindsay Abrahams.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be

RICHARD "RICK" BAKER, 49, of
Troy, died Sept. 12. For the past
three years, Mr. Baker was a manag-
er and buyers for Shoppers World
Furniture.
He is survived by his wife, Karen

Baker, Shawn Baker, Robin Baker;
grandchild, Kyle Shovan; mother,
Annette Golomb of Oak Park;
brother and sister-in-law, Mitchell

ENA BERKOWITZ, 88, of South-
field, died Sept. 7. She is survived
by her brother and sister-in-law, Sid-
ney J. and Liese Lee Berkowitz of

Eleanor Rosen.

law, Greg and Judi Coursen, Garett
Coursen; sister, Jana Greenberger;

Coursen, Mary and Madelyn Coursen.
She was the beloved wife of the late
George C. Coursen; daughter of the
late Isadore Greenberger; sister of the
late Joel Greenberger.

69, of Northville, died Sept. 12.
Mrs. Ellias was a teacher.

died Sept. 7.

Broder of Skokie, Ill.; grandchildren,
Mark, Aaron. She was the beloved
wife of the late Irving Weindling
and the late Morris Fishman; loving
sister of the late Dr. Henry Chapnik,
the late Phillip Chapnik, the late
Blanche Muskovitz; loving sister-in-
law of the late Norman Broder, the
late Esther Chapnik, the late Ben
Muskovitz, the late Sally Chapnik.

Memorial Chapel; interment at Adat
Shalom Memorial Park. Arrange-

GEORGE FLEISCHER, 84, of
Plantation, Fla., died Sept. 10. Mr.
Fleischer was a real estate investor.
He was also a member of the B'nai
B'rith and the Shriners.
He is survived by his wife of 58
years, Emilee Fleischer; daughters
and sons-in-law, Rochelle and Dr.
Arthur Lieberman of Bloomfield
Hills, Marsha and Gerald Blanke of
New Jersey; son, Barry Fleischer of
Southfield; grandchildren, Lori and
