LOIS BENJAMIN BRICKIVIAN, died
July 18.
Mrs. Brickman is survived by her
husband, Paul Brickman; sons and
daughter-in-law, James Brickman of
Chicago, Jeffrey and Gina Brickman of
Atlanta; granddaughter, Jenny Brick-
man; sister, Frances Perlmuter of Farm-
ington Hills; niece, Joan Gothardt;
great-niece and great-nephew.
Contributions may be made to the
American Lung Association. This
announcement was placed at the request
of the family by Ira Kaufman Chapel.

SAMUEL CANNON, 86, of West

Bloomfield, died Aug. 8.
He is survived by his sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, Werner and Lavon Todt,
Ronald and Mary Lou Todt; daughters
and sons-in-law, Joan Richardson, Phyl-
lis and Clare St. Aubin, Gail and Ray
Koponen; nieces, Ruthe (Saul) Stein,
Dorothy Frazein, Diane (Jospeh) Savin;
15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchil-
dren. He was the beloved husband of
the late, Hildagard Cannon.
Services were held at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery Chapel followed by interment
in the cemetery. Contributions can be
made to the charity of one's choice.
Arrangements by Dorfman Funeral

EVA B. EPSTEIN, 82, of West Bloom-

field, died Aug. 6.
She is survived by her son and daugh
ter-in-law, Harold and Paulla Epstein of
West Bloomfield; daughter and son-in-
law, Cyma and Donald Carn of Bloom-
field Hills; brother, Harry Shykewich of
Sun City, Ariz.; sisters and brother-in-
law, Belle Greenbaum of Southfield,
Rose and Joe Rubin; sister-in-law and
brother-in-law, Eve and Jack Caminker;
grandchildren, Loree and Rod Wasser-
man, Dr. Ava and Michael Watkins
Cam-Watkins, Bradley and Nancy Kari-
er Cam, Lisa and Dan Saferstein Cam,
Samuel Epstein, Andrew Epstein; great-
grandchildren, Carly Saferstein, Flora
Cam, Kara Watkins, Adam Saferstein,
Andrew Watkins, Josh Saferstein,
Emmert Cam. She was the beloved wife
of the late Samuel Epstein. Contribu-

MELVIN "MEL" FOSTER, 78, of

Farmington Hills, died Aug. 7.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Roz Foster; daughter and son-in-law,
Gail and Arnold Rosenberg of Wellesley
Hills, Mass.; sons and daughter-in-law,
Bob and Lynne Foster of Westwood,
Mass., Dr. Lanny Foster of Oak Park;

brother, George Foster of Hopkinton,
Mass.; sisters and brother-in-law, Trudy
and Samuel Mades of Boca Raton, Fla.,
Judith Klonel of Deltona, Fla.; sister-in-
law, Jean and Maury Gertel; nieces and
nephews, Gayle and Alan Edelson, Julie
and Brooke Laskey; beloved friend,
Gladys Sampson; grandchildren, Barrie
Rosenberg, Debra Rosenberg, Lindsay
Foster, Amanda Foster, Jessica Foster,
Chelsea Foster, Bodie Foster.

SAMUEL FREEDMAN, 82, of Livo-

nia, died Aug. 5. Mr. Freedman was a
retired postal worker. He was a World
War II Army veteran and received the
American Defense Service and Theater.
Ribbons, Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific
Theater Ribbon with two Bronze Battle
Stars, a Bronze Service Arrowhead and
the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with
one Bronze Battle Star. He was a mem-
ber of the American Legion Post 271
and VFW Post 3941.
Mr. Freedman is survived by his wife,
Dora Freedman; sons and daughter-in-
law, Harvey Freedman of West Bloom-
field, Alan and Karen Freedman of
Northville and granddaughter, Marie
Freedman. He was the dear brother of
the late Sidney and the late Elmer Freed-
man.
Contributions may be made to the

Road, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48303.
