Obituaries
PINKUS "PINKY" GREENBERG,
87, of Southfield, died Aug. 8. For 24
years, Mr. Greenberg was a starter at
Evergreen Hills Golf Course and from
1947-1972, he was a driver for Atlantic
Coverall Company. Mr. Greenberg was
a World War II Navy veteran; he had
been a storekeeper at Midway Island
submarine base. He was a member of
B'nai B'rith Louis Marshall Lodge and
the Knights of Pythias.
Mr. Greenberg is survived by his wife
of 63 years, Fay Greenberg; sisters and
brother-in-law, Anne and George Wald-
man of West Bloomfield, Rae Peltz of
Southfield; sister-in-law, Jennie Abrams
of Canton; nieces and nephews.

MICHAEL "MICKEY" HARON, 51,
of South Lyon, died Aug. 7. Mr. Haron
was a self-employed machinery dealer
and car wash owner.

DR. WILLIAM J. HUBERT, 92, of
West Bloomfield, died Aug. 11. Dr.
Hubert was a dentist and a past team
dentist for the Detroit Tigers. He was a
life member of Adat Shalom Synagogue,
a member of the Mosaic Lodge and a
32nd Degree Mason. He was also a
member of the Alpha Omega Dental
Fraternity and a member of the Michi-
gan Dental Association.
Dr. Hubert is survived by his wife,
Esther Hubert; sons and daughters-in-
law, Norman G. and Wendy Hubert of
West Bloomfield, Dr. Daniel E. and
Sandra Hubert of Sherman Oaks, Calif.,
Robert B. and Paulette Hubert of High-
land Park, Ill.; grandchildren, Mark,
David, Benjamin, Alex, Ryan, Jennifer,
Alicia, Jacqui; sister, Gladys Hubert of
Southfield; sister-in-law, Sylvia Hubert

JOYCE KOLB, 74, of Livonia, died
Aug. 10.
She is survived by her sons and

SAMUEL "SHIEKY" ICURSCH, 87,
of Southfield, died Aug. 5. Mr. Kursch
was an electrician and a Mason.
He is survived by his sister-in-law,

and great-niece, Todd and Alycia Rosen-
toyer. He was the loving brother of the
late Carl Kursch.

SIDNEY LIBERMAN, 83, of West
Bloomfield, died Aug. 5. Mr. Liberman
was in retail sales with Federal Depart-
ment Stores and Penneys. He was a
member of Temple Kol Ami.
