At Chapter Meeting

Arthur S. Berger, director of public
relations and communications for
the American Jewish Committee,
will be the featured speaker at the
Detroit chapter's annual meeting
6:15 p.m. Monday, June 8, at Con-
gregation Beth Shalom.
Berger's presentation will focus on
Israel and the Middle East. A kosher
Middle Eastern dinner and Israeli
musical entertainment will be fea-
tured.
Childcare is offered, and reserva-
tions are required. For information,
call the American Jewish Committee,
Michigan area office, (248) 646-
7686. There is a charge for the din-
ner and program.

New ZOA
Group Meets

A cocktail party will be held pool-side
at the Kahn Jewish Community Cen-
ter 6 p.m. Monday, June 15, for those
ages 25-45 who are interested in
becoming involved in a new Zionist
Organization of America group called
"Viewpoint." The new group is dedi-
cated to addressing media relations
regarding the coverage of the State of
Israel.
The Academy Award winning film,
The Long Way Home, produced by
Rabbi Marvin Hier and Richard
Trank, will be shown at 7:30 p.m.
