Two Classes
Machon LTorah, the Jewish Learning
Network of Michigan, will hold the
next lecture of its JudaiCollege educa-
tional session 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, May
26, at the JPM JCC. Rabbi Avraham
Jacobovitz will lead the lecture on "Life
Styles: Sabbath, Holidays and Entertain-

As part of the JudiaCollege spring
semester, Machon L'Torah will hold the
next class of its crash course in basic
Hebrew 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 27,
at the JPM JCC. Jeff Perlstein will lead
this series. Reservations are required. For

Machon. No previous Jewish education-
al background or knowledge of Hebrew
is required for any of the classes. There
is a registration fee for these classes.

Conversion Center
Retreat Weekend
The Center for Conversion to Judaism
will hold a retreat weekend for Jews by
choice, potential converts, their partners
and anyone interested in a meaningful
Jewish experience. The weekend will
take place at the Best Western Para-
mount Hotel, in Parksville, N.Y. from
Friday, June 12, to Sunday, June 14.
The weekend theme is "Jewish Spiri-
tuality." There will be Conservative egal-
itarian religious services, classes, work-
shops, time for informal discussions and
sharing. The Paramount offers kosher
facilities and has indoor and outdoor
pools. Scholarship assistance is available.

Hillel Assembly
In August
The 1998 Schusterman Hillel Interna-
tional Leaders Assembly will be held
Aug. 25-30 at Camp Moshava in

Claims Conference Extends
Goodwill Fund Deadline to December 31, 1998
Individuals who failed to register claims for restitution
of Jewish property in the former East Germany by the
December 31, 1992 German Government deadline may
apply to the Claims Conference Goodwill Fund.
The Claims Conference Goodwill Fund shares net
proceeds from the recovery of properties which it obtained
as the legal successor to unclaimed Jewish property.
Applications to the Goodwill Fund will be accepted
through December 31, 1998. Please write to the address
below, indicating:
• The address of the property
• The name of the original property owner
• Your relationship to the original owner
• Your name and mailing address
