Bar/Bat Mitzvahs

projects through the years including
volunteering with JARC residents,
participating in the Dor L'dor pro-
gram, working at the Salvation Army
and helping at Yad Ezra. She is active
in Habonim Dror youth program and
attends Camp Tavor in the summer.
Amy recently participated in the
Midwest Talent Search and qualified
for academic programs through
Northwestern University. She will
contribute some of her bat mitzvah
gifts to the World Wildlife Fund.

Jeffrey Zeman
Jeffrey Daniel Zeman will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah at Temple
Israel on Friday, April 24. He is the
son of Marci and
Paul Zeman,
brother of Carli
and Joshua and
grandson of Avis
and Harold Wolfe
and Maggie and
Robert Zeman.
Proud great-
grandmother is
Sharon Wise.
Among his mitzvah projects, he
worked at Yad Ezra and donated to
the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Jeff's
interests encompass tennis, basketball,
skiing, baseball and reading; he is an
honor roll student at Orchard Lake
Middle School.

Bradley and Brittany Sherman
Bradley Jason Sherman and his sister
Brittany Erin Sherman will be called
to the Torah as b'nai mitzvah on
Saturday, April 25, at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek.
They are the
children of Dr.

Brittany's hobbies are skiing, drama
and dancing. Mitzvah projects
include volunteering at the Menorah(
House and summer camp at B'nai
Israel Center.

David Nest
David Michael Nest will celebrate
his bar mitzvah at Temple Israel on
Saturday, April 25. He is the son of
Suzanne Nest
and Jeffrey Nest,
brother of
Lauren and
grandson of Lilli
and Izrael Besser
and Ann Nest
and the late
Harry Nest.
Attending
Orchard Lake
Middle School,
David enjoys snowboarding and
competitive rollerblading. He volun-
teered at the Fleischman Residence,
donated to the Michigan Humane
Society and assisted with a nursery
class as part of his mitzvah projects.

James Wolk

James Joseph Wolk will observe his
bar mitzvah on Saturday, April 25, ar
Temple Israel. He is the son of Edie
and Robert
Wolk, brother of
Katie and grand-
child of Thelma
and Harold Elson
and Shirley and
David Wolk.
A student at
Warner Middle
School, he enjoys
art, football and
golf. Jimmy's
most meaningful mitzvah project
included utilization of his artistic
abilities at the Fleischman Residence
where he painted portraits which he
framed and donated to the facility.

Lindsey Thurswell
Lindsey Fallon Thurswell will cele-
brate her bat mitzvah on Friday,
April 24, at Temple Israel. She is the
daughter of Judi and Jerry
Thurswell, sister of Jennifer, Larry
and Jeremy and grandchild of Lucille
and Norman Bendix and the late
Lilyan and Harry Thurswell.
