Scott is a seventh-grader at Norup
Middle School, where he plays trumpet
in the band. His interests include base-
ball, roller hockey and video games.

project was meeting with residents of
JARC.

David Charles Rose will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on
Saturday, April 25, at Congregation
Bet Chaverim in
Canton. David is
the son of Amy
Rose and Richard
Rose. His sister is
Rachel Rose. He
is the grandson of
Syd Ornstein and
the late Melvin
Ornstein. He is
also the grandson
of the late Charles and Phyllis Rose.
Proud great-grandfather is Max Trope.
David is a seventh-grade honor stu-
dent at Central Middle School and
plays violin in the school orchestra.
David enjoys computer programming,
football and art. He is looking forward
to attending Blue Lakes Fine Arts
Camp this summer.
David's mitzvah project continues
to be working weekly with the Kids'
Time extended day program at his for-
mer elementary school.

Suzanne Fisher Staples, is author of Shabanu, Daughter of the Wind
winner of the 1990 Newbery Honor Award.
