HELEN BABBIN, 73, of
Birmingham, died Jan. 20.
She is survived by her daughters
and sons-in-law, Vickie and Fred
Rothbaum of Lexington, Mass.,
Cathie and Richard Trohman of
South Russell, Ohio; son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Charles and Kathleen
Babbin of North Andover, Mass.;
brothers and sisters-in-law, Arthur
and Ann Solomon of West
Bloomfield, Robert and Pearl
Solomon of Southfield, Jack and
Jane Solomon of Huntington Woods;
grandchildren, Abraham, Maxwell,
Joseph, Samuel and Jacob. She was
the beloved wife of the late Frederick
S. Babbin.
Services were held at the Clover
Hill Park Cemetery Chapel in
Birmingham followed by interment
in the cemetery. Contributions may

MILDRED BALTER, 83, of
Berkley, died Feb. 2. Mrs. Baiter was
a dental hygienist.
She is survived by her daughters
and son-in-law, Libby and Thomas
Blume of Huntington Woods, Wilma
Baiter of Berkley; grandson, Nathan
Blume; sister, Evelyn Rosen of
Encino, Calif. Mrs. Baiter was the
beloved wife of the late Nathan
Baiter and the dear sister of the late
Bess Selbin.

FAY C. BERKOWITZ, 89, of Oak
Park, died Jan. 31. Ms. Berkowitz
was an office manager for Famous
Cleaners and Arnold Cleaners.
She is survived by her friend,
Agnes Vallimont of Redford. Ms.

Berkowitz was the beloved sister of
the late Helen Banks.

MORRIS H. BERRIS, 85, of

Southfield, died Jan. 27.
He is survived by his son and
daughter-in-law, Dr. David J. and
Anne Berris of West Bloomfield;

Aryeh Sharon of Southfield; sister
and brother-in-law, Sylvia and Irving
Rozman of Jerusalem, Israel; grand-
children, Tal Sharon, Alona Sharon,
Amy and Daniel Erlbaum, Michelle

Susan Kovsky, David Kovsky. Mr.
Berris was the beloved husband of

BURTON E BIELFIELD, 79, of
Bloomfield Hills, died Jan. 29. He
attended Detroit University School
(now University Liggett), was a
member of the University of
Michigan diving team and continued
studies at University of Indiana
Business School. Mr. Bielfield
learned to fly in the Civil Air Corps
and volunteered to serve in the
United States Navy as a naval avia-
tor; he was stationed throughout the
Pacific from 1940-45. He attained
the rank of lieutenant senior grade.
After World War II, Mr. Bielfield
returned to Detroit where he worked
for his father at Bielfield Tire. Then
he went into the brokerage business
beginning with Merrill Lynch, then
working at White-Weld, E.F. Hutton
and finally at Prudential Securities
where he was a senior vice president.
Mr. Bielfield -its a longtime member
of the Detroit Polo Club, the Detroit
Tennis Club and Franklin Hills
Country Club.
Mr. Bielfield is survived by his
sons and daughter-in-law, Bradley
and Cheri Bielfield of West
Bloomfield, Laurence Bielfield of

Aspen, Colo.; grandchildren, Hunter
and Jacob Bielfield; longtime friend,
Kathleen Dalton.
Interment at Clover Hill Park

BARBARA JUNE BRASS, 72, of
Farmington Hills, died Jan. 28.
Mrs. Grass is survived by her hus-
band, Hugh "Sonny" Brass; daughter
and son-in-law, Terry Brass and John
Leibengud of Glenwood Springs,
Colo.; grandson, Zachary Hahn; sis-
ters-in-law, Judith Dresner and Sylvia
Roth. She was the loving mother of
the late David Leslie Brass.
