HARVEY RATTNER, 89, of

Franklin, died Jan. 18. Mr. Rattner
was the founder of RB Dress Shops.
He was a civic leader in Royal Oak
and one of the founders of the Royal
Oak YMCA. In the 1950s and
1960s, he was active in urban devel-
opment. He was also a member of
the Franklin Hills Country Club and
a master bridge player.
Mr. Rattner is survived by his sons
and daughters-in-law, Lawrence and
Bonnie Lee Rattner of Franklin,
Richard Rattner and Linnea Lannon
of Franklin; son-in-law, Kenneth
Robinson and his wife, Nina; grand-
children, Thomas, David and
Suzanne Robinson, James Robinson,
Mollie, Elizabeth and Owen Rattner;
great-grandchild, Jonah Robinson;
brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and
Dorothy Rattner of Troy; sister,
Beatrice Milner of Lexington, Ky. He
was the beloved husband of the late
Miriam Rattner and the loving father
of the late Judy Robinson.
Interment at Clover Hill Park

mer Detroiter of Fremont, Calif.,
died Jan. 13.
She is survived by her brother and
sister-in-law, Donald and Elayne
Bitten. She was the daughter of the
late Manuel and Tillie Bitten; sister
of the late Irwin Bitten and Pauline
Merker. Interment in Fremont.

HELEN ROSENBERG, 94, of

Southfield, died Jan. 19. Mrs.
Rosenberg was a founding member
of Women's American ORT.
She is survived by her son, Martin
Jay Rosenberg of Detroit; sister and
brother-in-law, Sybil and Milton
London of Saginaw. Mrs. Rosenberg
was the beloved wife of the late
Nathan Rosenberg.
Interment at Bay City Jewish
Community Cemetery.

Colo.; brothers and sister-in-law, Al

MARIE SCHWARTZ, 98, of

Farmington Hills, died Jan. 18.
During World War I, Mrs. Schwartz
was employed at Vickers
Corporation and during World War
II, she worked for Ex-Cell-O.
During her later years, Mrs.
Schwartz was known for her exper-
tise in child care and was widely
known for the supervision of many
Detroit children.
Mrs. Schwartz is survived by her
sons and daughter-in-law, Col.
Norman Harris Schwartz, USAF of
