WILLIAM D. HACKER, 67, of

Novi, died Nov. 21. Mr. Hacker was
the founder and owner of Hacker
Sign Studio for 43 years. He was a
member of Temple Israel and the
Can-Do Stroke Club.
Mr. Hacker is survived by his wife,
Gladys Hacker; sons and daughters-
in-law, Mark and Teresa Hacker of
Howell, Kenneth and Leslie Hacker
of Clarkston, Richard and Carol
Hacker of Easton, Mass., Brian and
Louise Hacker of West Bloomfield;
daughter and son-in-law, Lori and
David Gersten of Walled Lake;
grandchildren, Emily Hacker, Hillary
Hacker, Jamie Hacker, Samantha
Hacker, Evan Hacker, Daniel Hacker,
Alison Hacker and Carly Gersten; sis-
ter and brother-in-law, Adrianne and
Howard Blauer of North Carolina;
father-in-law, Alexander Weiss. Mr.
Hacker was the beloved son-in-law of
the late Sara Weiss.

ANN HAZLETT, of Berkley, died

Nov. 15.
She is survived by her sisters,
Gertrude Kahn and Lorraine Lahr.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Walter Hazlett; dear sister and sister-
in-law of the late Jack Kahn, the late
Sadie and Max Engelhard, the late
Sadie and Moe Lahr, the late Joe
Lahr and the late Jean and Barney
Wise.
Arrangements were handled by the
Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home in

LOIS HERMAN, 89, of Atlantic

Beach, N.Y., and West Palm Beach,
Fla., died Nov. 23.
She is survived by her daughters
and sons-in-law, Fayga and Dave
Dombey of Southfield, Judith and
Judge Jerome Turner of Atlantic
Beach; son and daughter-in-law,
David and Libby Herman of Creskill,
N.J.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-
grandchildren. She was the devoted
wife of the late Rabbi Mayer Israel
Herman. Interment in Bet Shemesh,

MARCUS PLOTKIN, 73, of West

Bloomfield, died Nov. 23. Mr.
Plotkin was an attorney specializing
in tax law and a partner and manag-
ing partner of Plotkin, Yolles, Siegel
and Turner. Mr. Plotkin was very
active with Federation and Detroit
Tennis & Squash. He was a graduate
of Wayne State University and Wayne
State University Law School. He
earned an accounting degree and was
voted by his peers eight years in a
row, Best Tax Lawyer in America.
Mr. Marcus is survived by his wife
Lucille "Lu" Plotkin; children,
Norman and Elizabeth Plotkin of
River Woods, Ill., Carrie and
Kenneth Klisz of Wixom, Sanford
Plotkin of Huntington Woods, John
and Victoria Barrett of Lancaster,
N.Y., Jim and Jo Todd; grandchil-
dren, Joseph Plotkin, Daniel Plotkin,
Thomas Plotkin and K. Patrick
Barrett, Eric and Matthew Todd;
brothers and sisters-in-law, Alfred
and Thelma Plotkin of Venice, Fla.,
Bernard and Elaine Plotkin of West
Bloomfield, Arthur and Carol Plotkin
of Franklin; sisters and brothers-in-
law, Anne Helfman of Bloomfield
Hills, Florence and Arthur Schultz
and Betty and Sidney Pianin. Mr.
Plotkin was the beloved husband of
the late Lillian Plotkin.
