Rab bi Gives
Peace Talk
Rabbi Harold Kushner will speak
on the subject "Peace Begins at Home,
and in the Heart," 7:30 p.m. Sunday,
Oct. 26, at the Troy Marriott. He is
rabbi laureate of Temple Israel in
Natick, Mass., following twenty-four
years of service to that congregation.
Rabbi Kushner is best known as the
author of When Bad Things Happen
To Good People, an international
best-seller first published in 1981.
• Bishop Donald Ott of the United
Methodist Church will introduce
Rabbi Kushner at the program to be
emceed by Pennie Millender, chairper-
son of the Michgan Coalition for
Human Rights. Choral music will be
provided by the acclaimed Russian
Girls Choir under the direction of
Larisa Matusova.
The public is invited to attend.
Tickets for the event are $10 and may

advance, or, space permitting, will be
available at the door. A $35 ticket pur-
chased in advance includes attendance
at a private afterglow following the
