Sisterhood
Dinner, Tour

There will be a paid-up membership
dinner sponsored by the Beth Achim
sisterhood 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27.
The 1998 Torah fund honoree will be
announced as the Torah Fund drive
begins for the 1997-1998 program-
ming year. The dinner is free for sis-
terhood members and there is a
charge for non-members.
The Beth Achim sisterhood will
attend the exhibit Splendors of
Ancient Egypt at the Detroit Institute
of Arts, Sunday, Nov. 16. Participants
will meet at the synagogue at 10:30
for the bus ride downtown. There is a
charge.

The Business and Professional/Pisgah
Chapter, Jewish Women International
will hold a general meeting noon
Sunday, Oct. 19, at Whitehall club-

The program will feature Rabbi
Amy Brodsky, assistant director,
Ecumenical Institute for Jewish-
Christian Studies, who will speak on
"Tikkun Olam and the Work of the
Ecumenical Institute."
A petite brunch will be served.
There is a nominal charge.
