Michigan Region B'nai B'rith Youth
Organization will host Kickoff Dance
'97, 8:30-11:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept.
27, at the Maple-Drake Jewish
Community Center. There will be
chapter booths to sign up for mem-

bership. All registered BBYO members
are admitted free; all others will be
charged a $5 fee.
Entertainment is being provided by
Digital Vibrations. David Rodgers of
Marx AZA and Jackie Craig of
Achayot BBG are chairing this open-
ing event. Directly following the
dance, BBYO will hold a Selichot ser-

vice, which will end at midnight.
BBYO will hold a March of the
Living information meeting for inter-
ested BBYO members and their par-
ents, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, at
Maple-Drake. Participants in the
March of the Living trip will spend one
week in Poland where Yom Hoshoah
will be observed and one week in Israel
to participate in Yom Ha'atzmaut and
Yom Hazikaron. The trip will be held

from April 20 to May 4, 1998. For

Grant Aids
Survivors
Jewish Family Service and Sinai
Hospital have been awarded a grant
from the Conference on Jewish
Material Claims Against Germany to
provide services to Holocaust sur-
vivors.
Jewish Family Service will provide
homecare services including personal
care, respite care and homemaker
services. An additional grant from
the Claims Conference will enable
Jewish Family Service to provide
emergency financial assistance to sur-
vivors. Dr. Charles Silow, the director
of Sinai Hospital's Program for
Holocaust Survivors and Their
Families, will conduct support groups
for survivors at the Jewish
Community Center.
