Council will hold its annual Donor
Luncheon, noon Thursday, Nov. 6, at
Temple Beth El.
The speaker will be Doug Ross,
former Michigan Senator and assis-
tant secretary of labor for the Clinton
Administration.

Beth El will present a musical pro-

learning program with Rabbi Aaron
Bergman, co-sponsored by the Eilu v'
Eilu collaborative adult Jewish educa-
tion project, will begin a new eight-
part series at Bofders Books and
Music in Farmington Hills 10-11
a.m. Monday, Oct. 6.
The title for the new series is
"Giants of 20th Century Jewish
Thought." Tuition is $40 for mem-
bers of the sponsoring organizations;
$56 for others. Advance registration
is encouraged but walk-in registration
will be accommodated.

Bagel Run
In Toledo

The Jewish Community Center of
Toledo will hold its annual bagel run `--\
1997 on Sunday, Oct. 12. The event
features a 10K bagel run, a 5K walk
and a one mile fun run. Race day
registration starts at 7:30 a.m.
The one-mile fun run starts at
8:30 a.m. The 10K run starts at 9
a.m. and the 5K walk starts at 9:15
a.m. A pre-registration fee of $10 is
due by Tuesday, Oct. 7. The race day
registration fee is $15. This fee
includes a T-shirt.
Prizes donated by area merchants
will be given away in a random draw-
ing after the race. All registered par-
