MILK & HONEY, the new kosher
dairy restaurant being opened by Matt

Prentice and his Unique Restaurant
Corporation, is expected around June of .\
1998.
To my knowledge, this is the first
time that a non-kosher restaurateur has
been given approval to operate a kosher (11\/
venture.
'Seating will be for 80 people, with a
large carry-out section plus a complete
kitchen on wheels for off-site kosher
dairy parties.
"Milk & Honey will make every-
thing on the menu from its raw state,"
says Matt. "All fish will be butchered on
site, all pastries and breads will be baked
each day, and you'll even be able to get J \
a kosher bagel on Sunday."
Matt's next endeavor, arriving Nov.
15, will be No.'Vl Chophouse &
Lobster Bar, which will take over his
Trattoria Bruschetta in Novi's Hotel
Baronette.
His first steakhouse will be one of
few in Michigan to serve prime cuts of
meat exclusively.
Trattoria Bruschetta will remain
open until Nov. 5 ... and likely reappear
somewhere else in 1998.
