Volunteers
Are Sought
Volunteers are being sought by
the Federation Resource Line, a
Jewish information and referral
service sponsored by the Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan De-
troit.
The Federation Resource Line
provides referrals to helping
agencies and is a resource for in-
formation about the Jewish com-
munity and other topics.
Persons who wish to volunteer
will be given hands-on training
by Resource Line Director Car-
ol Kaczander. Training will be
given one-on-one initially and in
groups on a yearly basis.
Responsibilities include an-
swering telephones, recording
data and making appropriate re-
ferrals in a nonjudgemental fash-
ion. Prospective candidates must
have a pleasant phone manner,
patience, compassion and famil-
iarity with the Jewish and gen-
eral communities and their
services. Volunteers are required
to respect the- -afidentially of
callers.
