Dr. Sander Kushner has been
appointed associate specialist-in-
chief for the Detroit Medical Cen-
ter's department of family
medicine. Dr. Kushner is an in-
structor of family medicine and
clinical assistant professor at
Wayne State University's Med-
ical School and an assistant clin-
ical professor of family medicine
at Michigan State University Col-
lege of Osteopathic Medicine in
East Lansing. He also is the
founder of the Michigan Family
Physicians Institute.
Dr. Julian Kutinsky was hired
as associate medical director of
the chemical dependency unit at
St. John Hospital. Dr. Kutinsky
is an internist with a private prac-
tice in Sterling Heights. He is a
member of the American Society
of Addiction Medicine and the
American Academy of Addiction
Medicine. Also, he is a clinical pro-
fessor of internal medicine at
Michigan State University.
William Beaumont Hospital's di-
vision of preventive and nutri-
tional medicine is seeking
volunteers who have been diag-
nosed with osteoarthritis for a
research study. Men and women
age 50 or older who have the con-
dition and are being treated with
non-steroidal anti-inflammatory
medicines or high doses of aspirin
