PASSON, 81, of Duluth,

Minn., died Jan. 16. She was
an employee of Twin Ports
Sales and Arco Coffee. She was
a lifelong member of Adas Is-
rael Congregation, Hadassah
and the American Technion So-
ciety. She was an English tutor
for Russian immigrants.
She is survived by her sons
and daughters-in-law, Steven
and Michelle of White Lake
Township, Stuart and Judith of
Cannel, Ind., sisters, Lilly
Klasky of Tulsa, Okla., Jenny
Bergal of Duluth; grandchil-
dren, Jamie Passon Brooks of
Northville, Stacie Lyne Passon
of New York, Jordanna Passon
of Seattle, Douglas Passon of
Scotsdale, Ariz; great-grand-
daughters, Rachel and Anna
Brooks. She was the loving wife
of the late Ted Passon.
Services were held at the
Johnson Mortuary Chapel; in-
terment in Adas Israel Ceme-

Southfield, died Jan. 14. Mrs.
Raphael was a member of the
Mezeritcher Society, B'nai B'rith
Women, Sisterhood of Beth
Shalom Synagogue and the Oak
Park Ladies Society.
She is survived by her daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Bernice and
Jackie Gill of Southfield; grand-
children, Stan Gill, Sharon and
Ron Herman, Sandee and
Howard Penn; great-grandchil-
dren, Matt and Amy Herman;
sisters and brother-in-law, He-
len and Irving Herman of West
Bloomfield, Betty Breiman; sis-
ters-in-law, Eva and Henrietta
Stein. Mrs. Raphael was the
beloved wife of the late Albert
Raphael; the dear sister of the
late Sonne Stein, the late Robert
Stein, the late Morris Stein and
the late Lillian Traub. Inter-
ment at Machpelah Cemetery.

HELEN ROSENFELD, 95, of

West Bloomfield, died Jan. 19.

She is survived by her broth-
er and sister-in-law, Fred and
Eva Fischer of Israel; nieces
and nephews, Jerome and
Janet Rosman, Bondi Fischer,
Elaine and David Burnstine,
James and Colleen Wechsler,
Joseph Fischer. Mrs. Rosenfeld
was the beloved wife of the late
Cantor Anton Rosenfeld.

SHIRLEY SACHS, 81, of
Huntington Woods, died Jan.
19. Mrs. Sachs was a member
of the National Council of Jew-
ish Women, March of Dimes, a
volunteer at Sinai Hospital and
was very active at Temple
Emanu-El and its sisterhood.
She is survived by her hus-
band, Kenneth; son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Michael and Mau-
reen of Santa Monica, Calif.;
daughter and son-in-law,
Rosanne and Stephen Ezer of
Cheshire, Conn.; grandchil-
dren, Melissa and Paul Martin,
Deborah Ezer. Interment at
Beth El Memorial Park. Contri-
butions may be made to a char-
ity of one's choice. Arrange-

ANN SHAPIRO, 79, of South-

field, died Jan. 16.
She is survived by her broth-
er and sister-in-law, Nathan
and Ruth of Southfield; sister
and brother-in-law, Mildred

Beach, Fla.

IRWIN SHAPIRO, 69, of

Bloomfield Hills, died Jan. 16.
Mr. Shapiro was a stockbroker
and a member of Adat Shalom
Synagogue.
He is survived by his wife,
Marilyn; son and daughter-in-
law, Laurence and Lisa of Enci-
no, Calif.; daughters and sons-
in-law, Elizabeth and Ted Pena
of Amherst, N.Y., Jessica and
Lawrence Miller of Farmington
Hills; grandchildren, Violet and
Oscar Pena; brother and sister-
in-law, Harold and Trudy
Shapiro of West Bloomfield;
brother-in-law, Jack Goldfarb.
Mr. Shapiro was the dear
brother of the late Edith Gold-
farb.
Interment at Adat Shalom
