Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Ashley is a seventh-grade stu-
dent at Orchard Lake Middle
School and attends Hebrew
school at Temple Israel. In prepa-
ration for her bat mitzvah, Ash-
ley volunteered at Yad Ezra and
Temple Israel in support of the
annual picnic and family Shab-
bats. She will contribute food
baskets to Yad Ezra as part of
her celebration tzedakah.

Stephanie Adler

Stephanie Michele Adler of Ann
Arbor will be called to the Torah
as a bat mitzvah on Saturday,
Jan. 18, at Beth Israel Congre-
gation in Ann Arbor. She will
lead the service with Rabbi
Robert Dobrusin.
Participating in the service
will be Steph's proud parents,
Sue and Larry; her brother
Evan; grandparents Maxine and
Leon Feig, Elana and Sam
Adler; and great-grandparents
Israel and Sylvia Abramovitz.
Steph is a seventh-grader at
Greenhills School. She partici-
pates in field hockey, basketball,
volleyball and softball, and plays
the trumpet in the school band.
A party will be held in Steph's
honor at the Fox Hills Country
Club.

Ashley Elizabeth Bloom of West
Bloomfield will be bat mitzvah
at Temple Israel on Friday, Jan.
24. Rabbi Loss and Cantor Or-
bach will lead services.
Participating in the ceremo-
ny will be her parents, Randee
and Robert Bloom; her sister
Caitlin and her brother Zachary.
Grandparents Fran and Sol Pen-
skar of West Bloomfield and
Joan and Jerry Bloom of Bloom-
field Hills will also attend.

Gabriel Fisher

Gabriel Evan Fisher, son of
Robert and Marcy Heller Fish-
er, will be called to the Torah as
a bar mitzvah on Saturday, Jan.
18, at Temple Beth El. Rabbis
Daniel Syme and David Cas-
tiglione, Cantor Stephen Dubov
and Congregational Educator
Joyce Seglin will assist in lead-
ing the afternoon service and
closing Havdalah.
Also participating in the ser-
vice will be Gabe's brothers, Seth
and Benjamin; sister, Abigail;
and grandparents Philip and Au-
drey Fisher and Dr. Harry and
Virginia Heller. Music will be
performed by Judith Letvin and
Martin Liebman, Gabriel's god-
parents.
Gabriel is an honor student at
Birmingham Covington School
and is a member of the Bar Mitz-
vah Club at Temple Beth El. In
his spare time, Gabriel enjoys
skiing, camping, sailing, com-
puting and doing mitzvot.

Gary is an honor student at
Orchard Lake Middle School. He
loves to participate in sports.

Joshua Chaim Lebovic, son of
Sharon and Tom Lebovic, broth-
er of Aaron, will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah on Jan.
18 at Adat Shalom Synagogue.
Proud grandparents are
Joanne and Sol Moss of West
Bloomfield and Irene and David
Lebovic of Sunrise, Fla. Joshua
is also the grandson of the late
Ida Moss.
Joshua is a seventh-grader at
Hillel Day School in Farmington
Hills and enjoys hockey, football,
baseball and electronic games.
