A Unique New Way

To Celebrate A Birthday!

This December vacation, Detroit area kids can

"Take a Break at the 1!"

Something fun and exciting is happening during this next holiday vacation at both
campuses of the Jewish Community Center. It's called "Take a Break at the J" and its
a lot like the JCL's popular After School Club, only better. That's because it's an all
day program that let's kids make the most of their time off from school.

The "Take a Break at the J" programs are tried and true. Skilled program directors
Robin Herman, Lori Heddle and Kerri Lewis are qualified professionals who have
overseen these programs for many years. And the facilities are those many kids already
know well, the two JCC campuses in West Bloomfield and Oak Park.

As an added bonus, kids can renew old school and camp friendships and kindle new
ones with other kids from all over town.

Best of all, students can sign up to participate in each program for one day or every
day. "Take a Break at the J" is truly designed to meet the needs of kids and their families.
There's even extended care available for younger children.

Our 13abyPlate is an archival quality art print, meant to be
framed and kept in the family for generations. It is a unique, mem-
orable way to preserve your baby's birth information. All of our

"Take a Break at the J" runs from December 23 through December 31, 1996 -- not all
programs take place every day (See the schedule below).

Each set of "Break" activities has a different theme. For example, Travel Camp features
day trips to places like Planet Rock, Southfield (Ice) Arena, US Blades and Laser World,
and the Detroit Zoo. There's also Karate Camp, In-line Hockey Camp, Roller Hockey
Tour and six days of Winter Days '96, where "breaksters" can choose from a variety
of activities.

For more information call Robin Herman or Kerri Lewis at 810-661-1000 or Lori
Heddle at 810-967-4030. Here's a quick overview of the program schedule:
