Joel's parents, Irwin and Karen
Danto, along with his sister, Ash-
ley Danto, will participate in the
service. His proud grandparents,
Charles and Ruth Danto and Ed-
ward and Rita Foon, will also par-
ticipate. Joel's aunts and uncles,
Beth and Bob Borson, Howard
and Debby Farber, Jay and Deb-

ticipating were Shira's sisters,
Hadara and Mayan, and her
proud grandparents from Califor-
nia, Ursula and Henry Stanton of
Sacramento, and Bea Greenberg,
of Aptos. Shim's grandfather, Leo
Greenberg is recovering from ill-
ness and was unable to attend.
Shira's aunts and uncles, Su-
san and Rick Blackmun, of San
Jose, and Mitch Greenberg, of Ap-
tos, and Dr. Martha Zaslow and
Torn Stanton, of Bethesda, Md.,
also took part in the service.
For her bat mitzvah project,
Shim organized, collected and de-
livered donations of toiletries,
clothing and other supplies to
COTS, a shelter in Detroit.
Shira attended Hillel Day
School and Beth Shalom's Reli-
gious School. She is an honor stu-
dent at Walled Lake Middle
School, where she played soccer
last year. Shira swam with the
Jewish Community Center swim
team the past two years. Shira is
an avid camper and reader.
