band, Dr. Edward Fine; sons
and daughters-in-law, Dr.
Ronald and Suzanne of Tra-
verse City, Dr. Richard and Sal-
ly of Grosse Pointe Woods,
Thomas and Stacie of Traverse
City; grandchildren, Kenn,

was the beloved wife of the late
Sam Firestone. She is survived

Bloomfield, Tommy of Ken-
tucky; daughter and son-in-law,
Eva and Dr. Steven Lipton of
West Bloomfield; brother and
sister-in-law, Martin and Eva
Schonfeld; sister and brother-
in-law, Helen and Harold Lang
of Southfield; grandchildren,
Rebecca and Jessica Lipton,
Zachary Firestone.

DR. SIDNEY WALTER
GRABER, 74, of West Bloom-

field, died July 23. A graduate
of Wayne State University, Dr.
Graber received his doctorate
in special education. He became
the director of the Children's
Orthogenic School for Multiple
Handicapped and Emotionally
Disturbed Children. He then
became a professor of special
education and the first director
of the Special Education De-
pat tHient of Oakland Uni-
veristy, which he started in
1969 and from which he retired
in 1986.
Dr. Graber is survived by his
wife, Betty; sons and daugh-

West Bloomfield, died Aug. 2.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Arthur Hirsch. She is sur-
vived by her daughter and son-
in-law, Lenora and Iry Beron of
West Bloomfield; son and
daughter-in-law, Leo and Jean
of Southfield; grandchildren,
Rochelle Wetstein and fiance
Richard Berke, Eric Wetstein,
Harold, Marshall and Sandra
Hirsch.
Graveside services were held
at Clover Hill Park Cemetery in
Birmingham. Contributions
may be made to a charity of
one's choice. Arrangements by
Dorfman Funeral Direction.

ROSAMOND S. HAMMER-
STEIN, 77, of Southfield, died

July 31. Mrs. Hammerstein
was a secretary for LRH Prop-
erty Management Company.
For two terms, she was the past
president of the Adat Shalom
Sisterhood, a member of
Hadassah, Women's American
ORT, Women's Guild of Sinai
Hospital, past president of the
League of Jewish Women, past
recipient of Woman of the Year
Award and active with Pioneer
Women.
Mrs. Hammerstein was the
beloved wife of the late Sol
Hammerstein and the dear
mother-in-law of the late Ger-
ald Lobel. She is survived by
