East Lansing, died Aug. 1. She
was the beloved wife of the late
Ben Sigel. She is surivived by
her daughter and son-in-law,
Maureen and Marvin Glad-

children, Kim, Kari, Alexis and
Dr. Ronald Gladstone; special
friend, Ted Katz.

LEONARD WISPER, 97, of

Deerfield, Ill., died Aug. 6. Mr.
Wisper was a movie theater
manager.
He is survived by his sister,
Sadie Wisper Levinson; nieces

LOIS ZAMEK, 62, of Water-

ford, died Aug. 6. For 30 years,
Mrs. Zamek was a Waterford
Elementary School teacher and
a reading specialist. She
earned her master's in educa-
tion from Michigan State Uni-
versity. Mrs. Zamek was a
board member of the Pontiac
Civitan Club, Temple Beth El,
former member of Temple Beth
Jacob and active with quilting
and knitting.
She is survived by her hus-
band, Charles; son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Rabbi Stanton Za-
mek and Rabbi Martha
Bergadine of San Francisco;
daughter, Rachel of Kalamazoo;
granddaughter, Ayelet Zamek;
sister and brother-in-law, Edith
and Jerry Schreiman of Hen-
derson, Nev.
Interment at Clover Hill

MARILYN E. ZELDES, 43,

former Detroiter of Scottsdale,
Ariz., died July 25. Ms. Zeldes
owned her own organizing busi-
ness and was a member of the
Phoenix chapter of the National
Association of Women Business
Owners as well as a Gold Circle
member of the National Associ-
ation of Professional Organiz-
ers.
She was the sister of the late
David M. Zeldes. She is sur-
vived by her mother, Zelda (Ro-
govein) Zeldes; sister and broth-
er-in-law, Janis and Paul
Sternberg; nephew and niece,
Cary and Jessica Sternberg.
A memorial service will be
held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug.
11, at the Birmingham Temple.
