SIDNEY WALTER GRABER, 74, of West Bloom- field, died July 23. A graduate of Wayne State University, Dr. Graber received his doctorate in special education. He became the director of the Children's Orthogenic School for Multiple Handicapped and Emotionally Disturbed Children. He then became a professor of special education and the first director of the Special Education De- pat tHient of Oakland Uni- veristy, which he started in 1969 and from which he retired in 1986. Dr. Graber is survived by his wife, Betty; sons and daugh- West Bloomfield, died Aug. 2. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Hirsch.
