see Jo Thompson, ap-
pearing at the beautiful
Tavern On The Green
in Greenwich Village, and en-
joyed a gal who is like a fine wine
... She gets better with age.
Jo is a grandmother now, looks
great with a trim, hourglass fig-
ure ... and still beams behind a
sparkling smile and bubbly per-
sonality.
She has always been a gifted
show biz gal ... playing clubs here
like Alamo, Aged 'n Rare, Brass
Rail, Al Green's Celebrity Room,
Vineyards, Scotch 'n Sirloin, Play-
boy Club, the Old Place, London
Chop House, Caucus Club, Little
Harry's, Frank Gagen's, etc.
The almost 50 folks from the
Detroit area who had braved the
Big Apple and came to see her
perform weren't disappointed ...
She tickled the keyboard with a
lot of energetic dexterity and belt-

voured a veal cutlet and I had
linguine with red clam sauce ...
in the same style ceramic bowl
that reminded me of Peter's K
and Giorgio's.
Next time in New York, make
it a point to visit Pasta D'Oro
Say hello to Peter and enjoy what
a lot of New Yorkers have also
been so glad to find out about.
Carnegie Deli followed in the
footsteps of Stage Deli, both in
New York, by being spots for
show-biz folks ... But time seems
to have worn out a place like
Carnegie, which is
Jo
now more of a tourist

trap.
