Pet-A-Pet
Volunteers

RABBI DANIEL B. SYME

For the past nine years, the Pet-
A-Pet Club has been bringing
volunteers and their family pets
together with people who can
benefit from the special love and
attention an animal can give.
The Pet-A-Pet Club offers you
and your family pet a chance to
become a part of this new form
of therapy. Volunteers are need-
ed to visit several facilities in the
West Bloomfield area.
Volunteers must bring their
own pets, and pets must be
friendly, well behaved and have
current vaccination records. Vis-
its are scheduled once a month
and last about one hour. for in-
formation, contact Sherrill Platt,
(810) 545-3065.

Yad Ezra
Social Action

On Tuesday,Sept. 19, from 7 to
8:30 p.m., Yad Ezra, the only
kosher food pantry in Michigan,
will meet with the social action
chairs from all the area temples
and synagogues.
The purpose is to inform the
area shuls what Yad Ezra is do-
ing, how it happens and how
they may participate. From 7 un-
til 8 p.m. the chairpeople will
work with volunteers, on actu-
al food distribution to the Jew-
ish needy in the area. From 8
p.m. until 8:30 p.m, the Yad Ezra
programming will be discussed.
The public is welcome to attend.
