MARLA PINSKY

Harrison

Pinsky is a member of the Na-
tional Honor Society, Phi Beta
Kappa, co-captain of varsity gym-
nastics, National Art Honors So-
ciety, varsity soccer, yearbook
photo editor, founder of the Pho-
to Club, member ofAhavah BBG
and a Farmington Hills Arts
Commission winner. She plans
to study photography at
Rochester Institute of Technolo-
gy on a merit scholarship in the
fall.

CHAYA SAMET

Beth Jacob

Samet is a member of Phi Beta
Kappa and a recipient of the
Michigan Competitive Scholar-
ship Award and the Wayne State
Presidential Scholarship. She
was the head of the dance group
and co-editor of the Bais Yaakov
Convention newspaper. She
plans to spend a year in Bnos
Chava Seminary in Israel.

DARA SEITZMAN

Scaglione, a member of the
Thespian Society, was nominat-
ed for a U-M Regents-Alumni
Scholarship and for participation
in the National Youth Leader-
ship on Medicine. She earned
varsity letters for baseball, track
and basketball and received a
first-place award in behavioral
sciences at the Detroit News Sci-
ence and Engineering Fair. She
plans to attend the University of
Michigan Honors College.

Seitzman is a National Honor
Society member, Phi Beta Kap-
pa, drama and musical lead, Ger-
man Club, Central Council and
Student Council representative,
varsity pom pon, jazz band pi-
anist and vocalist, marching
band dancer, recipient of highest
ratings for state level piano and
dance, Michigan Education
Scholarship, U-M Regents-Alum-
ni Scholarship, YFU Corporate
Scholarship and a Purdue Ger-
man Award. She plans to attend
the University of Michigan's Res-
idential College.

Semp is a member of the Inter-
act Service Club, Phi Beta Kap-
pa, Karen Ann Knight Award,
Shaarey Zedek Kiddush Cup
Award, graduate of Shaarey
Zedek Hebrew High School, past
president of Hebrew Club, past
recording secretary of Shoshan-
na BBG and nominee for a U-M
Regents-Alumni Scholarship. She
plans to attend the University of
Michigan.

1994. She plans to attend the
University of Michigan Honors
College and study internation-
al finance.

She served as vice president of
Student Council and is a volun-
teer at the Jewish Home for
Aged. She will pursue religious
studies in Israel and attend
Wayne State University.

Berkley

Shvartsman is a member of the
National Honor Society, Phi Beta
Kappa, recipient of the Bausch
and Lomb Science Award, out-
standing student of the Lawrence
Technological University Sum-
mer Science Institute, member of
IBM Club "Future in Information
Systems," member of Lawrence
Tech Math and Computer Club
and a teacher's assistant in bilin-
gual education. He will attend the
Lawrence Technological Univer-
sity with a Presidential Scholar-
ship and study computer science.

Walled Lake Central

Walled Lake Western

Silver, ranked sixth in his class,
is a member of the National Hon-
or Society and Phi Beta Kappa.
He attended the National Youth
Leadership Forum on Medicine
in 1994 and is Western's nomi-
nee for the Optimist Club of West
Bloomfield scholarship. School
activities include forensics team,
Spanish Club, SADD, school play
and musical. He will attend the
University of Michigan, major-
ing in pre-med.

Troy Athens

Starr is president of the Michi-
gan Region of the North Ameri-
can Federation of Temple Youth,
member of National Honor Soci-
ety, Ethnic Roundtable, varsity
tennis, debate team and is for-
mer president of Troy Area Tem-
ple Youth. He will attend the
University of Michigan to study
political science.
