Amy Allen will be the featured
speaker at B'nai B'rith Regional
Council's April 26 meeting 7:30
p.m. at the Agency for Jewish
Education. Ms. Allen, a social
worker, is the director of CARE
House, a program under the di-
rection of Child Abuse and Ne-
glect Council of Oakland County.
Ms. Allen previously served as
the co-ordinator of victim services
for Mothers Against Drunk Dri-
ving. She is a frequent speaker in
the area of crime victimization.
The public is invited to attend;
there is no admission fee.
Adat Shalom
History Tour
Adat Shalom Synagogue mem-
bers will explore the congrega-
tion's roots on an afternoon bus
tour of Jewish Detroit, set for
Sunday, April 30. The 50th An-
niversary event will be held from
noon to 5 p.m.
Aaron Lupovitch will chart the
course and provide an in-depth
description of the sites and scenes
memorable to Jewish Detroiters.
The bus will make stops at pre-
vious locations of several temple
and synagogues, including the for-
mer Adas Shalom Synagogue
building on Curtis Avenue.
A coach with air-conditioning
and a sound system will be pro-
vided for the event.
Advance reservations are
mandatory. There is a $9 charge.
