The Spring Cantorial Series will
continue at the Jimmy Prentis
Morris Jewish Community Cen-
ter on Tuesday, April 11, at 1
p.m. with Cantor Gail Hirschen-
fang of Temple Beth El.
The Center will present great
Decisions 1995, an eight-week
program that will begin at JPM
on Thursday, April 13, at 7:30
p.m. Each session will be taught
by a different instructor. Pre-reg-

AIDS Memorial
Display Closes
The Names Project display of the
AIDS Memorial Quilt will con-
tinue through April 9 at Cobo
Center in Detroit. The display is
free and the public is invited.
Newly made panels may be
brought in any time during the
display, Wednesday - Saturday,
9 a.m.-8 p.m., or Sunday, 9 a.m.-
5 p.m. They may be brought to
New Panel Check-In and may in-
dude a short letter describing the
person for whom the panel is
made and the panel-maker's
reason for making it. If possible,
a donation to defray the cost of
care for the panel is appreciated.
A closing ceremony is planned
for Sunday, April 9, at 6 p.m. All
new panels may be presented by
their makers during the cere-
mony.

The sisterhood of Temple
Emanu-El will have its Second
Auction Extraordinaire Satur-
day, April 8, at the temple.
A silent auction will begin at
7 p.m. The auctioneer will be
David McCarron of the Frank
Boos Gallery. The live auction
will offer a trip to a real dude
ranch, leather coats and jewel-
ry, and more. Dessert buffet will
be provided.

Fund-Raising
For BBYO
Michigan Region BBYO will be-
gin its local fund-raising cam-
paign which will run through
mid-June. This is the time BBYO
goes directly to the community
to ask for donations to help op-
erate the local program. This
supplements the funds BBYO re-
ceives from B'nai B'rith Youth
Services Appeal and the Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan De-
troit.
The Michigan Region BBYO
program services nearly 1000
teens in the local area from met-
ropolitan Detroit, Ann Arbor and
Windsor. BBYO uses many vol-
unteers including advisers, board
members, parents and friends.
Categories of giving are $50,
$100, $250, $500 or any amount
the donor chooses. Tribute cards
are also available from the
BBYO office. To help support
BBYO, donations may be sent to
B'nai B'rith Youth Organization,

Institute Aids
Single Mothers
The Institute for Single Jewish
Mothers a program of the
Agency for Jewish Education's
Jewish Experiences for Families,
will provide services to enable
single Jewish mothers and their
families to participate in
Passover seders.
The Institute will provide re-
sources and instructions for in-
dividual families to make their
own seders, match one family
with another for a seder, arrange
for small groups of single Jewish
mothers and children to have a
seder together, or assist in link-
ing families to a synagogue fam-
ily seder.
A recipient of the Jewish Fed-
eration of Metropolitan Detroit's
Max M. Fisher Community
Foundation, the Institute for Sin-
gle Jewish Mothers works to em-
power, educate and integrate
single Jewish mothers and their
families into the metro Detroit
Jewish community.
