This is the time BBYO goes directly to the community to ask for donations to help op- erate the local program. This supplements the funds BBYO re- ceives from B'nai B'rith Youth Services Appeal and the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan De- troit. The Michigan Region BBYO program services nearly 1000 teens in the local area from met- ropolitan Detroit, Ann Arbor and Windsor. BBYO uses many vol- unteers including advisers, board members, parents and friends. Categories of giving are $50, $100, $250, $500 or any amount the donor chooses. Institute Aids Single Mothers The Institute for Single Jewish Mothers a program of the Agency for Jewish Education's Jewish Experiences for Families, will provide services to enable single Jewish mothers and their families to participate in Passover seders. The Institute will provide re- sources and instructions for in- dividual families to make their own seders, match one family with another for a seder, arrange for small groups of single Jewish mothers and children to have a seder together, or assist in link- ing families to a synagogue fam- ily seder. Fisher Community Foundation, the Institute for Sin- gle Jewish Mothers works to em- power, educate and integrate single Jewish mothers and their families into the metro Detroit Jewish community.
