Wolpe will talk about "Spritking
to You Children About Gods in a
seminar for parents of children
ages through adolescence Dec. 12
at 7 p.m. at the Applebaum Jew-
ish Parenting Center.

"The Book of Esther-Women
and Assimilation" is a look at the
story of Esther with new insights,
perspectives and questions. This
month's topic is "A Look at the
Women of Purim." Facilitator
Ruth Bergman will lead the class
from 7:30-9 p.m. Dec. 19.

Young adults are urged to share
their viewpoints and opinions at
a "Window of Opportunity: Black-
Jewish Relations in the Archer
Era" at 7 p.m. Dec. 6 at Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
The event is sponsored by the
Political Awareness Committee
of the Jewish Federation of Met-
ropolitan Detroit Young Adult Di-
vision.
Detroit city officials Freman
Hendrix, chief of staff, and Brian
Tauber, assistant to the mayor,
will share Mayor Dennis Archer's
views of the positive effect his ad-
ministration has had on the
black-Jewish relationship.
David Gamlin, executive direc-
tor of R3 (Revive, Rebuild, Re-
store), and Akua Budu-Watkins,
director, neighborhood city
halls, will express the black corn-
munity's views. David Gad-Hief,
executive director of the Jewish
Community Council, will interpret
the Jewish Community's position.
