Michigan BBYO
Announces Plans

Michigan Region BBYO will host
an Inter-Regional Adviser Con-
tinuing Education Weekend Oct.
14-16 at the BBYO Milan Con-
ference Centre in Belle River,
Ont. The featured speaker will
be Zohar Raviv, BBYO Interna-
tional Shaliach from Washing-
ton, D.C., who will present a
program on "Bringing Judaic pro-
gramming to BBYOers through
the chapter."
BBYO and the Ann Arbor
Jewish Community Center will
host the first activity of the
newly-established Ann Arbor
chapter of Teen Connection. On
Oct. 15, a "Freaky Fall Fun
Festival" will be held at Wiard's
Orchard, 5565 Merritt Road,
Ypsilanti, from 7-10:30 p.m. The
program will feature a haunted
hayride and a bonfire and is open
to all Washtenaw County Jewish
youth in grades 6, 7 and 8. For in-

Michigan BBYO will hold its
Fall Conclave at Camp Maas Oct.
28-30. The theme of the weekend
is "Judaism and Spirit." The con-
clave will feature a presentation
on the 1994 March of the Living
program.
BBYO has appointed the fol-
lowing new volunteer advisers:
Kevin Elbinger to Jolson AZA;
Lisa Eidelman to Wallenberg
BBYO, Ann Arbor; and Sara
Voight to Shoshanna BBG. Open-
ings still exist for volunteer adult
advisers to AZA and BBG chap-
ters in the Metropolitan Detroit

Kadima Holds
City Shul In

The Detroit area United Syna-
gogue Youth Kadima will host a
city-wide shul in Oct. 15-16 at
Congregation Beth Achim. Any-
one in grades 6-8 is welcome. The
*evening begins Saturday night at
8:30 p.m. and will continue until
Sunday morning at 10:15 a.m.
The program will include Hav-
dalah, pizza making, social mix-
ers, a games night, movies and
breakfast.
All Detroit area Kadima
groups are invited. Chapters from
Ann Arbor, Flint, Grand Rapids
and Kalamazoo also will be par-
ticipating. There is a fee and
everyone is welcome. For infor-
