tel in Grand Rapids. Robert
Mayer Evans, former CBS TV
and Radio News correspondent
will be the guest speaker.
An adjunct professor of po-
litical science and the Latin
American Studies Center at
Michigan State University, Dr.
Herman is a graduate of the
University of Michigan, and
Wayne State University. He
has been active in the State of
Israel Bonds organization since
1964 and has been to Israel dur-
ing a one-year sabbatical and to
visit his family in Tel Aviv.
Mr. Evans spent time this
decade in Moscow reporting on
the Gorbachev coup and was in
the Middle East for the start of
the Persian Gulf War. An ex-
pert in Middle Eastern affairs,
Mr. Evans has interviewed
every Israeli prime minister of
the past 25 years as well as cab-
inet members.
