Moses' Sisterhood Charity Lun-
cheon March 17.
Ms. Lekhtman was a leading
mezzo-soprano with the Mol-
davian State Opera, and soloist
in major houses through Rus-
sia and Europe. She recently
performed in Tchaikovsky's
"The Snow Maiden" at Orches-
tra Hall with the Detroit Sym-
phony Orchestra.
Ms. Lekhtman will be ac-
companied by Zina Astrakhan.

Workshop
The National Council of Jewish
Women, Greater Detroit Sec-
tion, will sponsor a two-day
workshop to help develop
speaking abilities. Kay Britten,
of Kay Britten Communica-
tions, is a consultant and coach
in speaking skills with more
than 30 years' experience, and
she will lead the workshop.
The workshop will be held on
March 16 and 23 at the NCJW
office, 30233 Southfield Road.
