Drake Jewish Community
Center meets every Monday at
10 a.m.
Irma Starr, director of Space
for Changing Families, will
conduct a bereavement group,
"Issues of Loss," 10:30 a.m. Oct.
6 at Maple-Drake. Donations
are suggested.
Phyllis Young will direct a
current events group 1 p.m.
Sept. 9 at Maple-Drake. There
is a drop-in charge.
Cantorial soloist Marci
Schulman will usher in the
Jewish New Year with song 1

The Maple-Drake Jewish
Community Center will expand
transportation services. Be-
ginning in October, individuals
may request door-to-door bus
transportation on Mondays and
Thursdays and for special
events by calling Adult Services,
661-1000. This service is for
those interested in coming to
the Center on a regular basis.
There is a suggested donation

JPM Seniors
Plan Events

Jack Leve will teach line
dancing on a weekly basis
beginning 1 p.m. Sept. 7.
Tickets for the six-week series
of classes can be purchased at
the Jimmy Prentis Morris box
office. There is a charge.
Vivian Stollman, director,
and Sonny Lipenholtz, accom-
panist, of the JPM choir, will
lead a High Holiday song
session 1:30 p.m. Sept. 9 at
JPM. Reserve tickets at the
JPM box office. There is no
charge.
The senior adult choir meets
Mondays at 12:30 p.m.
Harriet Gelfond offers one-
on-one guidance in art classes
9 a.m.-noon Monday, Wednes-
day and Friday.
Beginning folkdance lessons
are available 9:30 a.m. Wednes-
days at JPM.
Cantor Max Shimansky
leads a program each Friday at
12:30 p.m. at JPM.

Metro Toronto Singles will host
an inter-city singles party in
Toronto at the Berlin Nightclub
7 p.m. Sept. 5th.

Singles Dance
Breaks Fast

The Jewish Community Center
will sponsor the Annual Break
the Fast Dance for singles 21
and over 9 p.m. Sept. 25 at
Maple-Drake.
The admission charge in-
cludes refreshments and a
chance to win a three-month
membership to the Health
Club. There will be a cash bar.
Tickets can be purchased at the
door.
