Schwartz will be presented 1
p.m. Nov. 5 at the Jimmy
Prentis Morris Jewish Com-
munity Center. The program
will include traditional
Jewish music as well as
classical pieces by a number
of Jewish composers.
Mr. Schwartz earned a
Master of Music degree in
violin from Manhattan
School of Music. His profes-
sional experience includes
works with the American
Symphony Orchestra, and the
Metropolitan Opera Or-
chestra in New York.
Laura ReVelle Schwartz, a
native Detroiter, studied
piano and voice at Oakland
University in Rochester. She
teaches music, voice and ac-
ting in several suburban
communities.
The concert has been made
possible through the Charles
and Frances Driker Fund for
Yiddish Culture. There is no
charge to JCC members.
Russian language videos
are shown at the JPM 2 p.m.
on the first and third Friday
of each month. All interested
persons are welcome to at-
tend. There is no charge.

Temple Hosts
Art Show, Sale

Birmingham Temple's 20th
annual invitational fine arts
show and sale will open 8 p.m.
Nov. 13 through Nov. 15.
There will be ceramics,
sculpture, jewelry, glass,
weaving, painting, furniture
and fabrics by 125 invited ar-
tists. Door prizes of works of
art from the show will be
awarded. Hours on Nov. 14
