Shaarey Zedek Productions
will present during August a
program about the early
Jewish community in the ci-
ty of Detroit.
Judy Cantor, archivist of
Congregation Shaarey Zedek,
is interviewed about her work
with the Jewish Historical
Society. She brings to the
viewers artifacts and models
of many buildings in the
Jewish past in Detroit.
Also on the program is Ar-
nold Michlin, Jewish com-
munity activist and longtime
supporter of the State of
Israel.
All of the programs
presented by Shaarey Zedek
Productions can be seen on
the following cable stations;
copies can be taken out of the
Shaarey Zedek Library.

Artist Offers
Gallery Tours

Deanna Sperka, artist and
lecturer, will conduct a series
of museum and gallery tours
throughout the Detroit area
this fall. The tours will in-
clude galleries, alternative
space exhibits, artists'
studios, and museums in the
metropolitan area.
Deanna, who has exhibited
her multi-media installations
and photography in the U.S.,
Canada and Mexico, has just
completed a one-person show
in Tel Aviv. In her gallery
tours she will present contem-
porary art from the artist's
viewpoint against the
background of art history.
The tours will be offered
Thursday mornings, 11 a.m.-1
p.m. for 10 weeks beginning
Sept. 10. For information, call

The 11th Annual Detroit
International Wine Auction,
a black-tie event to benefit
the Center for Creative
