chard Lake Road) made a
name in this city in Trapper's
Alley. Ethiopian cuisine is
made easier without the drive

The original Mr. B's in
Rochester was a shot and beer
bar serving six food items. My
how things change! Mr. B's
Bloomfield (6480 Orchard
Lake Road) has just expand-
ed their menu again — serv-
ing up Mexican favorites from
its sister restaurant, Monter-
rey's. According to Amy
Glasser, manager, the West
Bloomfield location boasts
the highest food sales of all
seven Mr. B's locations. In ad-
dition to the new Mexican
selections, Mr. B's offers up
pizza, burgers, entree salads,
ribs and chicken. Low-fat,
low-sodium items are denoted
on the menu with a heart.
But make no mistake, Mr. B's
has its bar crowd, too. Section-
ed off from the dining room,
two booths, several tables and
bar stools surround a display
of alcohol, a jukebox and one
very cynical, very funny
bartender named Mark. Mr.
B's is open Monday-Saturday
11 a.m.-2 a.m. (Kitchen closes
at 12:45 a.m. Monday-
Thursday, 1:15 a.m. Friday
and Saturday) and Sunday
noon-1 a.m. (Kitchen closes at
midnight).
