became assistant campaign
manager for the Committee
to Re-elect U.S. Senator

Senator Donald Riegle.
In 1979, she joined the
Michigan Cancer Founda-

president and was named
director of community rela-

tions and development in
1981. She is in charge of the
> annual fund, endowment
fund and marketing for the
organization. She has also
implemented a number of
special events including the
Angels Ball, the Circle of
Fellows and the MCF an-
nual dinner.
She is busy organizing the
MCF 10th annual dinner to
be held at the Palace May 9,
honoring David and Doreen
Hermelin. The first dinner
> had 200 people and raised
$40,000. This dinner will
host 1,200 patrons and raise
more than $500,000. She
credits the success of the
evening to the active par-
ticipation of the
Hermelins.
