MCF PARTY
The Partners for the Mich-
igan Cancer Foundation, a
group of young professionals
age 25 to 40, held a leap year
party and cancer benefit at
the Peking House recently
and raised more than
$12,000. Mike Stone,
WDIV-TV4 sports producer,
was the master of
ceremonies. Some of the ac-
tive members include:
Murray Sales, Michael
Schwartz and Vicky
Churchill.

NCJW Travels
They came to Washington,
D.C., for a conference on ad-
vocacy. They left the
nation's capital excited and
well informed, yet "up in
smoke."
Lead by President Carole
Sue Coden and incoming
President Ann Zousmer.

NCJW's Advocacy In Ac-
tion Conference took place
the same time as the VFW's
annual convention, leaving
many unhappy non-smokers.
And because of the two large
conventions, registration
took up to two hours.
The hotel was more than
apologetic. Each NCJW par-
ticipant left the Sheraton
with a note of apology from
the hotel management.

Other Council attendees
were Marilyn Levine, who
celebrated her birthday in
D.C., Sharon Leider,
Kimberly Lifton, Lois
Granader, Rosie
Schiussel, Claire ,Kret-
chmer, Sally Mayer, Lin-
da Bloom, Judy
Rosenberg, Maureen
Shapiro, Shelly Cooper,
Wendy Wagenheim, Carol
Fogel and Terran
Leemis.
