of Southfield, died May 24.

She is survived by her brother

Deerfield Beach, Fla., former-
ly of Chicago, died May 26.
She leaves her son and
daughter-in-law, Dr. James
and Ellen of Birmingham;
sisters; four grandchildren;
two great-grandchildren. Ser-
vices and interment were
held in Chicago.

NER, 1, of West Bloomfield,
died May 26. He leaves his
parents, Sheldon and Mary;
grandparents, Sylvia of
Miami and Svetozar and
Sofia 'Thsovic of Hobart, Ind.
ROSE PECHENICK, 86, of
Oak Park died May 28. She
leaves her daughter and son-
in-law, Shirley and Herman
Utchenik of Oak Park;
brothers and sisters-in-law,
Morris and Mamie Simrod,
Harvey and Dorothy Simrod;
one granddaughter.
CLARA GLADYS ROSEN-
BERG, 90, of Oak Park, died
May 25. She is survived by
nieces, nephews and cousins.
ETHEL SCHWARTZ, 63, of
Tucson, Ariz., formerly of
Detroit, died May 22. She
leaves her husband,
Frederick; daughters and
sons-in-law, Janet and Dennis
of Southfield, Marcie and
Frank Alampi of Rochester
Hills; sisters and brothers-in-
law, Clare and Morey Selly of
Northridge, Calif., Nettie and
Simon Roberts of Southfield,
Ann Mirves of Farmington
Hills; two granddaughters.

held in Detroit.
ROSE TUKEL, 86, of
Southfield, died May 23. She
is survived by sons and
daughters-in-law, Dr. Floyd
and Gail of Southfield, Sher-
win and Emily of West
Bloomfield; six grand-
children; three great-grand-
chlldren.
MICHAEL A. VAYNER, 80,
of Southfield, died May 24.
He is survived by his wife,
Lia; daughter and son-in-law,
Natalie and Dr. Samuel Perov
of West Bloomfield; one
grandchild.
A.MALIA WEISS, 77, of Oak
Park, died May 23. She is sur-
vived by her son, Andor of
West Bloomfield; daughter
and son-in-law, Susanne and
Michael Berger of West
Bloomfield; brother, Benyo-
min Levowich of Israel; three
grandsons.
Dr. Mark Rubens
Dr. Mark Rubens, 35, of San
Diego, Calif., formerly of
Detroit, died May 22.
Dr. Rubens was an or-
thopedic surgeon. He was a
graduate of the University of
Michigan medical school. He
did a fellowship in spinal
surgery at Baylor University.
Dr. Rubens leaves his wife,
Judith; son, Andrew;
daughter, Laura; parents,
Ben and Eileen of West
Bloomfield; brothers and
sisters-in-law, Dr. Lawrence
and Margo of San Diego,
Calif., Allan and Lola of Ann
Arbor; and his sister, Karen of
West Bloomfield. Services
and interment were in San
Diego.
