Italy (Jan. 14-20), Germany
(Jan. 21-27), Greece (Jan.
28-Feb. 3), Japan (Feb. 4-10)
and France (Feb. 11-17).
Two 45-minute programs
will be presented each Sun-
day at noon and 1:15 p.m. For

Historical Museum
Puppet Events

Puppets — in performance
and how to make them — are
the subjects of two events at
the Detroit Historical
Museum.
Puppeteer Nancy Hank and
staff will present a puppet
version of the story of
Cinderella. This free perfor-
mance will be 1 p.m. Jan. 19
in the Booth Auditorium of
the Detroit Historical
Museum. To reserve seats,

Members of the Detroit
Puppeteers Guild will con-
duct a "How to Make Pup-
pets" workshop 1-3 p.m. Jan.
26. Designed for children ages
7 and older, the workshop will
feature creative puppet-
making for the young and

Opera Theatre

The fourth annual "Let Us
Entertain You" will be 8 p.m.
Feb. 2 at the Maple-Drake
Jewish Community Center.
Theodore Bikel will be the
debuting act. A champagne
reception at 7 p.m. will
precede the concert.
Mr. Bikel appears in con-
certs, both solo and with sym-
phony orchestras, throughout
the United States and abroad.
He will sing folk songs, and
tell legends and lore of our
people.
