mysterious because the
hands are free floating, and
it is difficult to see how the
clocks operate. A 1990
mystery clock with
diamonds, emeralds and
malachite that sells for
$300,000 was displayed at
Schubot's. In addition to the
champagne reception and
sparkling jewelry, guests
were entertained with soft
music and platform
ballerinas. Some of the

rator for 20th century art at
the Detroit Institute of Arts,
presented a slide show on his
recent trip to Israel for the
opening of the Israel Muse-
urn on Oct. 25. The event
was co-sponsored by the
American Israel Education
Institute and the Founders
Society of the DIA. Spotted
