and Learn Series on June 13.
Rabbi Bruce D. Aft, director
of the Midrasha and principal
of the Community Jewish
High School, will speak on a
survey of sacred Jewish texts.
The lecture will be held at
the United Hebrews Schools
building. A kosher lunch will
be at noon and the lecture
will follow. There is a charge.

Synagogue School
Opens Enrollment

Enrollment is now open for
the Congregation B'nai
David Sunday school located
at the Maple-Drake Jewish
Community Center.
Classes will begin in
September and will include a
pre-school Kinderspiel class -
for three- and four-year-olds
and a K/1 class for children
who will be five or six during
the school year. Enrollment is
open to the community.

Temple Sets
Food Bank Drive

The Social Action Commit-
tee of Temple Israel will host
an on-going drive to collect
food and household goods for
the hungry, both Jewish and
non-Jewish. There are con-
tainers near the school en-
trance to the temple. All
donations will be distributed
through the Food Bank of
Oakland County and Yad
Ezra, the kosher food pantry
in Southfield.
